Image Transfer Art
Image transfers on wood.
Each piece begins with my original fine art photography printed using archival quality inks. The image is then transferred, using a unique process, onto wood panel and finished with acrylic and a UV glaze to prevent fading. The wood panel is stained, sealed with finishing wax and hand-buffed and the back of the piece is painted with my signature red. Each piece takes 2-3 weeks to complete.
The process is unpredictable so each piece is perfectly imperfect.
No two pieces will look exactly the same.
*Update Spring 2024*
After years of passion and dedication, I've chosen to conclude this chapter of my creative journey. It felt like a natural progression as I shifted my focus towards other creative pursuits and projects. This decision was solidified when the dry image transfer technique, which I spent two years perfecting, suddenly stopped working. I had always anticipated that this might happen, considering the delicate alchemy required between ink, paper, and acrylic in the process. While I won't be crafting new image transfer pieces, I invite you to explore the remaining works that are still available for sale. These pieces are the last I will ever make and each piece holds a special place in my heart.
Thank you for your support and appreciation.
